TEMS SETS NEW GLOBAL MILESTONE WITH 10 MILLION U.S. SALES
Nigerian singer Tems has once again carved her name in music history by becoming the first female artist from Nigeria to surpass 10 million units sold in the United States.
The feat was confirmed on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, after industry trackers announced that WAIT FOR U, her Grammy-winning collaboration with American stars Future and Drake, had crossed the 10 million sales mark.
The achievement adds to Tems’ growing list of international records. She had earlier become the first African female artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify, underlining her influence beyond the continent.
With multiple awards, including a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance and several BET trophies, Tems’ latest milestone strengthens her position as a global trailblazer for African female artists.
