NCDC RECORDS 506 LASSA FEVER CASES, 95 DEATHS

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, NCDC has confirmed five hundred and six Lassa fever cases out of the Two thousand four hundred and ninety-two suspected cases of the disease, and ninety-five deaths as of February 23, 2025.

The situation reports of the hemorrhagic fever for week eight also showed that the disease has spread to 12 states and 70 local government areas with a Case Fatality Ratio of 18.8 per cent.

The confirmed cases were reported in Ondo, Bauchi, Edo, Taraba, Ebonyi, Kogi, Gombe, Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa, Delta, and Cross-River.
