The Bayelsa State Volunteers Security Outfit has arrested two men in connection with a robbery incident that occurred early this morning in Edepie, Yenagoa.

The suspects are 31-year-old Ifiemi Nayo, from Brass Local Government Area, who resides in Yenizugene and is alleged to be a member of the Vikings cult group; and 31-year-old Kelvin Otuaguma, from Isoko South Local Government Area in Delta State, who resides on Gamag Road, Edepie, and is said to belong to the Iceland cult group.

A statement from security outfit said the suspects stormed the residence of one Miss Favour Wesley around 3 a.m. on September 18th, carting away clothes, slippers, and later a brand-new generator from another compound.

Operatives of the Volunteers’ Tombia Unit responded swiftly to a distress call, leading to their arrest. The men were later paraded and handed over to Operation Doo-Akpo for further investigation and prosecution.

High Chief Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo, Chairman of the Security Outfit, warned criminals to steer clear of unlawful activities, stressing the group’s commitment to protecting lives and property across Bayelsa State.
