BUS BURSTS INTO FLAMES ON BEGGAR FLYOVER IN YENAGOA

A vehicle was completely burnt on Wednesday on top of the popular Beggar Flyover in Yenagoa after it caught fire while in motion.

The incident caused panic among motorists and passersby as thick smoke billowed from the vehicle before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The bus, which was severely damaged, had its interior and engine completely destroyed by the fire. Fire service personnel later arrived and successfully extinguished the blaze.

The driver of the bus could not ascertain the cause of the fire. He said the bus was in good condition, claiming it was still new and had been used to transport goods to Swali on Tuesday.

No casualty was recorded, as the bus driver and the other occupant managed to escape before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.
