BOLT DRIVER SHOT DEAD IN YENAGOA.

Mr. Emmanuel Okon, a bolt driver from Akwa Ibom State has been shot dead in the early hours of this morning at Samphino Road Junction in Kpansia, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state Capital.

The lifeless body of the deceased was found this morning inside his vehicle by residents who stumbled upon the disturbing scene and raised the alarm that prompted a swift response from the police to cordoned off the area.

The Landlord to the deceased said police confirmed that he was shot through the ear, describing his late tenant as calm and peaceful individual who went about his taxi business without trouble.

Also speaking, Mr. Friday, an in-law to the deceased expressed grief over the incident and confirmed that he is married to his elder sister with two kids (a boy and girl).

The in-law and landlord appealed to the police to expedite their investigation and bring the perpetrator to face Justice.

The corpse has been evacuated by the police. When contacted, Mr. Musa Mohammed, the spokesperson of the Bayelsa state police command said they have commenced preliminary investigation.
