A faith-based beauty pageant organisation, Queen of Charity Nigeria, has been officially launched in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
The launch, which held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Azaiki Public Library, marked the organisation’s entry into Nigeria’s pageantry space with a focus on promoting modesty, spiritual development, and women empowerment.
Founder of the organisation, Miss Adaeze Chineme, said the initiative was designed to redefine the concept of beauty pageantry by aligning it with Christian values.
She said, “When people hear the name Queen of Charity, we want them to see a woman who has undergone formative processes to become more like Christ and is equipped to impact society as an ambassador of Christ.

“This organisation promotes modesty, champions spiritual development above all else, and seeks to make a national impact.”
Chineme also called on prospective partners and sponsors to support the vision, noting that the foundation’s outreach programmes would impact both participants and the wider society.
“We are not just raising pageant contestants; we are raising women who will positively influence lives through our charity programmes,” she added.
Reigning Queen of Charity Nigeria, Miss Udo Victory, described her emergence as an honour, stating that the platform would help address identity challenges among young women.
“The purpose of this organisation is to help women become their best selves and to support those facing identity crises. Through this foundation, they can rediscover themselves,” she said.

Also speaking, a corps member, Mr Olayemi Potter, said the vision for the initiative was birthed from conversations on using fashion as a tool for positive influence.
“I believe this vision is scalable and has the potential to grow beyond Nigeria to the international stage, offering a new perspective on pageantry,” he said, while expressing hope that the initiative would evolve into a full-fledged global movement.
A student of Bayelsa Medical University, Miss Ekpedekumo Shalom, commended the initiative for its emphasis on modesty and personal development.
“This is different from other pageants. It focuses on modesty and personal growth, which many platforms overlook,” she said, adding, “I pray the organisation continues to soar and expand globally, as many young women need this kind of guidance.”

Sponsors and prospective participants can reach the Foundation via Instagram at queenofcharitynigeria, by email at queenofcharitynigeria@gmail.com, or by phone on 08103496310.
Chineme, a professional model and former Miss Business Nigeria, aims to use the platform to enable women to pursue modelling careers while upholding their Christian faith and values.
