POLICE DISMISS TIKTOK STAR PELLER KIDNAP RUMOUR

The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed reports that popular TikTok creator, Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, was kidnapped.

Social media went into panic on Thursday after a viral video showed the comedian being dragged from his car by armed men during a heated altercation. The clip, which trended across TikTok, Instagram and X, fueled speculations that he had been abducted.

But in an interview, police spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the claims were false. He said Peller is safe, his vehicle and belongings are intact, and nothing was stolen.

CSP Hundeyin described the incident as “blown out of proportion” and urged Nigerians to avoid spreading unverified information capable of causing panic.
