The remains of the late Mr. Latei Stephen Iniamagha, father of Dr. Ikiemoye Stephen Iniamagha, a presenter on Golden 97.5 FM, have been laid to rest in Yenagoa.

The funeral service, which drew family, friends, church members, colleagues and sympathisers from within and outside the state, was held on Friday.

Delivering the sermon, Evangelist Kenneth Okierie of Township Church of Christ, Yenagoa, spoke on the theme, “Make Your Way Clean Before God.” Taking his text from Hebrews 9:27 and Matthew 5:8, he urged mourners to live righteously and be prepared to meet their Maker.

After the church service, the cortege proceeded to the Iniamagha family compound for interment. Committal prayers were said by the clergy, after which the body was laid to rest amidst tears and hymns.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Dr. Ikiemoye Stephen Iniamagha, alongside Mrs. Ini Iniamagha, his wife, thanked all who came to honour their patriarch.

Also present to commiserate with the family were Mr. Jacobson Park, Acting Head of Station, Golden FM, who led staff of the station; Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha, Chairman, Bayelsa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ; and Comrade David West, Chairman, Civil Liberties Organisation CLO, Bayelsa State Chapter, among others. They encouraged the Iniamagha family to remain strong.

Tributes poured in for the late Mr. Latei Stephen Iniamagha, who was described as a dedicated correctional officer, church leader, writer, composer, father and grandfather.
He passed on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 75.
